Menurun.com.au is a brand new website conceived and developed by Mark Reid of Mermaid Beach that drags the concept of old scrunched up Menus into the 21st century. With the help of two friends, Soren Walker and Bennett Howard, they have launched what is fast being considered as the most comprehensive online Menu directory in Australia.
“We provide a platform and point of sale for restaurants to upload their menus, enabling the users to search simply by cuisine and suburb” says Mr. Reid. After selecting either preference the hungry customer is presented with a list of relevant Restaurants and are able to view these Menu’s instantly. What could be easier? Contact details and prices for the Restaurant’s are also included as is the address and a Google map to help with directions.
Whilst targeting the needs of Australia's insatiable appetite for fine cuisine, Menurun.com.au is also proving to be a viable means of free advertising for local restaurants. Local owners can sign up free of charge, where they can then proceed to customize their profile to suit their image and cuisine, and then let the orders start flooding in.
“As soon as we were contacted by the guys at Menurun we signed up. It’s a fantastic concept and an opportunity we felt we didn’t want to miss out on,” says Evan Howard of Rossini’s Italian restaurant on the Gold Coast.
